Mr. David Miller, Executive Director and Mr. Marc Jones, Legal Officer of the Fair Trading Commission participated in a Capacity Building Project on Competition held in Trinidad, May 2-6, 2016. The aim of the project is to assist CARICOM member states in developing their competency in the area of competition law and ultimately establishing their own competition authority. Mr. Miller presented in the area of Institution Design and Institution Building and Mr. Jones presented on the topic “Cross Border Anti-Competitive Conducts.” Some other areas covered at the workshop were Abuse of Market Dominance, Merger Control Regulation and Bid-Rigging in Public Procurement.
