The University of the West Indies is offering Postgraduate Programmes in Competition Law & Policy

The Faculty of Law at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus invites prospective students and professionals to a Virtual Information Session on its Postgraduate Programmes in Competition Law and Policy, to be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. via Zoom.

As competition law continues to play a critical role in shaping fair markets, regulating corporate conduct, and promoting economic development, specialised training in this field has become increasingly valuable across the Caribbean and beyond. This interactive webinar offers an excellent opportunity to learn why qualification in competition law matters and how UWI’s postgraduate programmes can equip you with the skills and expertise needed to operate effectively in this evolving area.

During the session, lecturers will provide insight into the Postgraduate Diploma and Master of Laws (LLM) in Competition Law and Policy, including programme goals, structure, and course content. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of key areas of study such as collusion and other anti-competitive agreements, abuse of market power, merger control regulation, market structure and firm conduct, the use of economics in enforcement, and cross-border anti-competitive conduct.

The programmes are delivered 100% online, offering flexibility for working professionals, with options for one year full-time or two years part-time study. They are ideally suited for legal practitioners (including in-house counsel), economists in firms, private sector lawyers, members of the judiciary, and staff of competition authorities and regulatory bodies.

Whether you are seeking to deepen your professional expertise, transition into competition law practice, or enhance your understanding of market regulation and enforcement, this information session will help you determine if the programme is right for you.

Registration is free but required. Secure your place and join the conversation on why you belong at UWI.
