Captain Roxene Nickle


Captain Roxene Nickle currently serves as Staff Officer Grade 2 (SO 2) J9 at the Civil-Military Cooperation and Media Affairs Department, Headquarters Jamaica Defence Force (JDF). In this role, she plays a key part in strengthening civil-military relations and managing strategic communication initiatives.

A seasoned Communications Specialist, Captain Nickle brings many years of experience in radio and television broadcasting, alongside extensive expertise in event planning, production, and protocol training. Her background allows her to effectively bridge the gap between public engagement, media relations, and institutional communication.

Beyond her military service, Ms Nickle is a Justice of the Peace and an active member of the Lions Club of St Andrew, reflecting her strong commitment to community service and civic responsibility. She is an alumna of St. Andrew High School for Girls and holds a Diploma in Mass Communications, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications from the Caribbean School of Media and Communications (CARIMAC), University of the West Indies, Mona.

Captain Nickle is deeply dedicated to serving others and contributing positively to national development. She lives by the mantra “Live, Love, Laugh,” which guides both her personal philosophy and professional approach.
