It is alleged that the industry is suffering from entry restrictions which are negatively impacting its expansion. The assessment outline 5 regulatory options and concluded that a combination of Option 2 (Revise the Training and Examination of Trainees) and Option 4 (Effective oversight of the Board’s activities) would generate the best economic outcomes (lower prices, higher quality) in the markets affected by the Land Surveyors Act.
